Rentals

Picture your special event at one of our historic homes. Our two historical properties can be rented for your own events.  The Joy Homestead, which is a Colonial farm house, is suitable for small gatherings.  It can hold 25 people seated at tables or 35 for reception style events.   The Sprague Mansion, which features an elegant Victorian style, can seat 50 at tables or 75 for receptions.  Both properties have extensive grounds and the Sprague Mansion also has a Carriage House adjoining it.

Events that we have hosted in the past: family reunion, birthday party, small wedding,wedding photographs, bridal shower, baby shower, business meeting, organization’s board meeting, holiday party, outside event, organization’s meeting, political cocktail party, organization’s general meetings, fundraiser, book club’s meeting, Halloween party, piano recital, art exhibit, Victorian tea party, anniversary party, First Communion, Confirmation, award ceremony or Bar mitzvah

The properties are rented by the hour for both day and night time events.  Cranston Historical Society members and non profit organizations get a discount.  For more information involving availability and rental fees, please call (401) 944-9226.​
